Ashmolean Museum

These two photographs are pieces completed in 2015 with tutor TANYA BENTHAM at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.

DRACONUM DOMINA (the dragon) is in Laid and Couched Work using hand-dyed wool.

THE WELSH QUEEN uses the techniques from Opus Anglicanum - Split Stitch in silk thread for the face, and Underside Couching for the crown.

Courses begin again next year (2017) at the Ashmolean Museum, Tanya also has a very entertaining blog.
